The NAL/Ecobox seminar to be held in Stavanger on 14 November will in part focus on how to achieve flexible, user-friendly, permanent solutions. Using the Norwegian Wood building projects as the point of departure, the seminar will look at what it takes to create satisfactory residential areas.

The universal design seminar at the international Norwegian Wood Conference will be taking a closer look at a number of areas that concern architects and urban planners, among others. These range from overall considerations to issues that emerge as important in the more detailed phases of planning. Various Norwegian Wood building projects will be presented by their respective architects.

Items on the agenda include:
Karin Høyland, of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, will discuss universal design as a stamp of quality.

Camilla Rhyl, from the Danish Building Research Institute, Aalborg University will speak about housing for the senses – individual experience, quality and universal design.

It is still possible to sign up to attend the conference...
